This is one of my favourite breakfast recipes – boosts your energy levels, and keeps your fuelled up to lunch time – Home Made Protein Smoothie
I would recommend making this up the last thing before bedtime, pouring into an airtight container, but make sure you fill it right to the brim before placing lid. This way zero oxygen will be stored in your smoothie, meaning it won’t breakdown as much over night.
Prep Time :: 10 minutes Cooking Time :: 2 minutes whizzing in the blender Serves :: 3 serving
Ingredients ::
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 2 tablespoons of almond butter
- 2 tablespoons of pumpkins seeds
- 2 tablespoons of chia seeds
- 2 tablespoons of hemp seeds
- 4 walnuts
- 3 brazil nuts
- 1 large banana
- 1 tablespoon of virgin coconut oil
- ½ c of unsweetened almond milk
- 1 cup of water
Directions ::
- Mix all the above ingredients in a blender.
- Blend on high speed until smooth, about 2 mins.
- If smoothie is too thick add more water until you reach a thick but drinkable consistency.
